Meat Raffle Rules & Regulations

Raffle Rules and Regulations:

1. Raffle tickets shall not be sold to a person under 18 years of age. All association members are eligible to purchase tickets and are eligible to win Raffle Prizes.

2. Adults will be advised not to write the name of a person under 18 years of age on the ticket.

3. Tickets will be sold at 1 for $10.00 and 3,000 tickets will be printed. (Note once a ticket is sold there will be no refund on the purchased ticket.)

4. A minimum of 1500 tickets that must be sold before and official request to AGLC for a draw date extension or cancellation of the raffle.

5. Exact draw Location: Turf Training Center Nisku 1030 34 Ave, Nisku, AB T9E 1E7 March 23rd, 2025

6. The draw will be conducted by all ticket stubs will be placed in a barrel to select the winner. The barrel will be mixed multiple times to mix up the entries. One single ticket will be drawn from the barrel for each prize. (3 Total)

7. There will be 3 Prizes given away 1st Prize: Half a Cow and Smoker 2nd Prize: 1/4 Cow 3rd Prize: 1/4 Cow. Once a ticket and a winner of the specific prize has been pulled. The specific winning ticket will be removed from the remaining entries and will not be eligible to win again.

8. The winner of each prize will be contacted by both phone and email three (3) times (if necessary) to claim their prize. The prize will be guaranteed for Three (3) Months following the official draw. If after Three (3) Months, the winner has not claimed their prize, River City will contact AGLC and request to donate the prize back to River City Softball or to another charitable organization.

9. Tickets will be available for purchase from the members of the organization, once a sale is complete the purchaser will receive their portion of the corresponding ticket stub for their records.

10. The purchase of tickets will be promoted through River City Softball Club's social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram). It will also be promoted on River City Softball Club website at https://rivercitysoftballclub.ca/

11. River City Softball Club in any form will ensure that it contains 1) The license number for the raffle. 2) The date and location of the raffle draw. 3) List of available prizes. 4) Cost per ticket for purchase.

12. River City Softball Club will also include the information that a winning ticket stub may have more than one name on the stub, however, the River City Softball Club will only award the prize to one of the individuals identified on the ticket. River City Softball Club and the AGLC will not be responsible for any disputes that may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stubs.

13. Rules will be made available upon request, as well as distributed to all ticket sellers.

Promotion:

17. Promotion of the raffle and ticket sales information will also be posted on River City Softball Club’s websites.

18. Promotion of the raffle and ticket sales information will also be promoted on River City Softball Club's social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).

 

Financial Controls:


19. Ticket sales will occur at the locations listed above (see point 17). Cash and E-transfer will be accepted. Books of tickets will be dispersed to the Head Coach/Team Manager for each River City Team, Teams will be responsible and liable for the sales of their paper tickets

20. Each team will send 1 e-transfer to approved AGLC Bank account for the amount of their teams’ tickets that have been sold. (Ticket Selling is voluntary and Ticket Sellers will not be charged for selling tickets.)

21. Tickets are $10.00 and will only be offered at the price point of 1 for $10.00. The ticket stub with the corresponding number to the ticket stub retained by the raffle’s organization will be used as the purchaser’s official receipt.

22. Tracking will be done with the AGLC ticket sales tracking form to ensure all tickets and stubs are accounted for.
